A NEW WAY FOR DISASTER RELIEF America Continental 2000, Inc., is a US publicly supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization specialized in engineering and technical support for disaster mitigation. The primary geographical area of focus are the continents of the Western Hemisphere. Thus the organization derives its name, America Continental 2000. However, the vision is not limited to this part of the world, and as the organization grows in its ability to respond to situations as they arise and meet needs, the scope of action will be widen. Our areas of expertise are the following: Disaster Relief and Assistance in the field of Humanitarian Assistance, Water and Sanitation in the field of Agriculture and Rural Development, Conservation, Ecology and Natural Resources in reference to the Environment, Housing, Transportation, power generation and Urban Development in the field of Infrastructure including Renewable Energy Projects and Programs and Information, Education and Communication (IEC). The purposes for organizing the Corporation are to perform charitable activities within the meaning of Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c)(3) and the Chapter 496, F.S. Specifically, the Corporation is organized to provide disaster relief and development assistance in the form of engineering and other technical consulting, advice, and assistance; the providing of equipment and materials to carry out that advice; and other organizational and consulting services designed to assist local organizations and governments in preparing for and responding to disasters of all kinds including disasters caused by terrorism, environmental contamination, tsunamis and water drought. America Continental 2000, is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501 (c)(3) and is a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Florida, filed on September 29, 2003. |
